Earthquake Shakes Near Warner Springs Area, Felt Across San Diego County

The quake was reported early Friday morning. Did you feel it?

SAN DIEGO, CA — An earthquake rattled the San Diego area early Friday.

The magnitude 3.2 quake struck at 2:07 a.m. about 1.7 miles southeast of Warner Springs, a small unincorporated community in northern San Diego County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor was reported about 13 miles north of Julian and nearly 30 miles east-northeast of Escondido, USGS officials said. The quake had a depth of about 10 miles.

Residents reported feeling the quake across the county, including in Alpine, Carlsbad, El Cajon, Escondido, Lakeside and Oceanside, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.

There were no immediate reports of damage and injuries.
