Here are three of the top stories in San Diego today:

  1. The nonprofit, Mama’s Kitchen, has reached a major milestone. For over three decades, the nonprofit has delivered 15,000 meals a week to those facing malnutrition due to critical illnesses such as HIV, cancer, heart failure, type 2 diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. Now, Mama’s Kitchen has delivered its 11-millionth meal to a local client. (CBS 8)
  2. The San Diego International Airport (SAN) and the East Village Brewing Company have teamed up to reuse the water that drips from the bottom of air conditioning units at the airport. The captured water is purified by reverse osmosis and ozone disinfection, then brought to the brewery to be used for beer. The end product is beer, such as: Hoppy Travels IPA, and Pre-Flight Pilsner. You can check out these beers at Terminal in the coming weeks. (FOX 5 San Diego)
  3. Celebrate Hanukkah at Seaport Village in downtown San Diego. The family-friendly event will include music and the lighting of a menorah to celebrate the 3rd night of Hanukkah. The tradition is celebrated for eight days and commemorates the recapture of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. (Patch)
