​Elmo's Eggstravaganza Returns To Sesame Place San Diego

CHULA VISTA, CA — Sesame Place San Diego is celebrating Easter this spring.

Elmo's Eggstravaganza runs on select dates through April 20 at the Chula Vista-based theme park.

The event, which is included in park admission, features an interactive Easter egg scavenger hunt, Easter-themed dance party and storytime, golden egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny and Sesame Street friends, and an all-new Easter Dine with Elmo & Friends.

Here's the egg-cellent entertainment lineup:

• Easter Dine with Elmo & Friends: On April 19 and 20, join the Easter Bunny, Elmo and more Sesame Street friends for a special Easter buffet meal and photo opportunities.
• Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt: Go on a scavenger hunt to find all the eggs hidden around the park. Pick up a free scavenger hunt sheet at Guest Services and turn it in once finished to receive a special prize.
• Easter Storytime: Gather at Big Bird's nest for a special story time reading of "The Great Easter Race." The spring tale features Elmo, Cookie Monster and more.
• Furry Friends Bunny Hop Dance Party: Hop along with Sesame Street friends at the Bunny Hop Dance Party.
• Golden Egg Hunt: One golden egg will be hidden somewhere in the park each day. Find it and turn it in at Guest Services to win a prize.
• Photos with Sesame Street characters: Meet and get photos with Sesame Street friends at Photos with Elmo & Friends and around the park.
• Photos with the Easter Bunny: Meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny at Photos with Elmo & Friends.

Sesame Place San Diego is the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning children's show. The 17-acre theme park features 18 Sesame Street-themed rides and water attractions, including a family-friendly rollercoaster and a 500,000-gallon wave pool, which is one of the largest in Southern California. Water attractions will reopen later this spring as the weather warms up. The park also offers an interactive Sesame Street neighborhood, daily live character shows, musical play area, parade and photo opportunities.
