Elton John To Headline Curebound Concert For Cures In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — Elton John is coming to San Diego to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
The legendary musician will headline Curebound's 2025 Concert for Cures May 9 at Petco Park, the philanthropic organization announced Monday.
Curebound raises money for cancer research. Since the organization started its signature benefit concert series in 2022, Curebound has raised more than $8.5 million to support early-phase adult and pediatric cancer research.

"Music has the power to unite people together behind a shared cause," Curebound CEO Anne Marbarger said in a statement. "Every person in the world has been impacted by cancer and by working together, we will accelerate better prevention, detection, and treatment options for patients and families. The funds raised at Concert for Cures will help bring us one step closer to our vision of cures in our lifetime."
Previous Concert for Cures headliners include Alicia Keys with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and Ed Sheeran performing to sold-out crowds at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. This year, the concert is moving to Petco Park.

Pre-sales begin March 3. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 7 at curebound.org.
