Empty The Shelter: Adoption Fees Only $25 At San Diego Humane Society

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego Humane Society has extended pet adoption hours and slashed adoption fees so that more animals can find homes this summer.
The organization, which has 1,954 animals in care, is offering $25 pet adoption fees for puppies, kittens, dogs and cats through July 31, thanks to a sponsorship by BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters. San Diego Humane Society currently has 343 dogs, 22 puppies, 124 cats and 144 kittens available for adoption at its campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside and San Diego.
In an effort to accommodate additional adopters and address overcrowded shelters, the organization will extend its adoption hours by two hours to 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. The extended hours are planned to be in effect through Friday, Oct. 25, and coincide with the adoption promotion.
