Fake Rideshare Driver Sexually Assaulted Woman In San Diego: Police
Authorities asked for the public's help in identifying the suspect. Police are also trying to determine if there are additional victims.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities asked for the public's help Wednesday in identifying a man accused of posing as a rideshare driver and sexually assaulting a woman in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego.
The assault happened around 1:10 a.m. on March 15, when the woman got into the backseat of what she believed was her rideshare vehicle in the 700 block of Grand Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The driver drove the woman a few miles away, where he then sexually assaulted her, police said. The victim got out of the vehicle, and the suspect drove off in an unknown direction.

"Based on the suspect's actions, investigators are trying to determine if there are additional (unreported) victims and for them to come forward," police said.
The suspect was described as a mixed-race man in his 30s, with an average-to-muscular build, brown eyes, shoulder-length curly hair and a mustache and beard. He may have been driving a four-door 2022 to 2025 Toyota Prius or a similar vehicle, police said.
