Fast-Casual Chain Opening Second San Diego County Location

SANTEE, CA — A new eatery is coming to San Diego's East County.

The Stand is opening its doors Thursday in Santee. The Los Angeles-based fast-casual chain is known for its customizable takes on American classics.

Zachary Wishengrad, vice president of the family-owned business, said the company is "thrilled to bring The Stand to Santee."

Santee felt like the ideal next step in our journey."

The Stand's menu features made-to-order American classics, including burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, wraps, bowls, fresh salads, fries, veggie options, milkshakes, and craft beer and wine on tap.

Founded by Murray Wishengrad in 2003, in Encino, California, The Stand now has locations across Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area and Texas. The new Santee eatery will be the chain's second location in San Diego County.

The Stand first entered the San Diego market in the fall of 2023 with a location in Carmel Mountain Ranch. Wishengrad said the company has plans to expand throughout the county.

The Stand will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday at 9355 Mission Gorge Road, Suite 121, in Santee.
