Friends Fundraise After Crash Kills Single San Diego Dad

Aaron Raspberry left behind son Emmanuel when he died from injuries from a Sept. 16 crash.

SAN DIEGO, CA -- Friends continued to fundraise Monday for a San Diego boy whose father was killed in a motorcycle crash last month. On a GoFundMe page, friends said 32-year-old Aaron Raspberry, a single dad, left behind his son Emmanuel.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office said Raspberry died Sept. 19, three days after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle pulling out of a driveway in Barrio Logan. Raspberry was pronounced dead at the UCSD Medical Center from blunt force injuries of the torso.

Raspberry, who worked for the city of San Diego, was described as an "amazing" man who cared deeply for his young son.

"Aaron was a wonderful person. I would see him almost every day at work. He always had a good attitude. We would talk about our sons playing football," Esther Woronicz wrote.

The GoFundMe page asked the public to help raise $10,000 for his son.
