SAN DIEGO, CA — A gorilla broke a glass panel over the weekend at the San Diego Zoo, zoo officials confirmed.
Denny, a 10-year-old western lowland gorilla, broke one layer of the layers of a three-layered tempered glass panel Saturday at the zoo's gorilla forest habitat, a zoo spokesperson confirmed to Patch.
Denny was not injured in the incident. The two gorillas who live in the habitat will be cared for behind the scenes until the panel is replaced, officials said.
