Growing Greek Street Food Chain​ Expanding In San Diego County

The fast-casual restaurant chain offers gyros and pitas, traditional bowls and plates, salads, sides and desserts.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A growing Greek street food chain is expanding in San Diego County.

Fast-casual restaurant Nick the Greek is opening a new location Dec. 5 in the North County community of 4S Ranch.

In honor of the grand opening, the restaurant will offer free lunch for all customers from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., inviting the 4S Ranch community to experience Nick the Greek's gyros and pitas, traditional bowls and plates, salads, sides and desserts. Guests will receive one complimentary entrée per person, the chain announced.

Founded in 2014 by three cousins in Northern California, Nick the Greek has expanded rapidly in recent years. The chain has locations in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Kansas, Texas, Tennessee and Missouri.

The 4S Ranch location will be the chain's third in San Diego County and 94th location in the country, a spokesperson told Patch. The new restaurant is located at 10550 Craftsman Way, Suite 185, in San Diego. The other San Diego area locations are at 927 J St. in downtown San Diego and 6765 Mira Mesa Blvd., Suite 146, in San Diego's Mira Mesa neighborhood.
