Here are two of the top stories in San Diego today:

  1. A hiker in distress, dehydration, and in need of medical aid started a signal fire that went out of control. The hiker was hoisted into a helicopter and taken to the hospital for treatment. The fire charred two acres of land near Otay Mountain Truck Trail. Firefighters extinguished the fire before it spread further. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. 2. Looking for something fun to do? Drive over to the San Diego Automotive Museum and see the ‘Cars of Pop Culture.’ The theme of the show is ‘Comic Con,’ and it will display cars from the big screen and comic book culture. See the 1989 Batmobile, the 1998 VW Beetle ‘Shag Mobile’ from Austin Powers, and more. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (KPBS)
