​Man Fatally Stabbed In Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, CA — A man in his 40s was fatally stabbed in Chula Vista Friday evening.

Chula Vista Police Department officers responded at 9:06 p.m. to the 1400 block of Santa Lucia Road, near Palomar Street, regarding a call of an assault with deadly weapon. When they arrived, officers found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

"As of right now, this does not appear to be a random attack -- no continued threat to the public related to this incident," the department said in a post on the social platform X. "This incident is now being handled as a homicide."

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was no suspect information.
