Man Found Dead In Mission Valley Identified

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities Wednesday publicly identified the 25-year-old man found dead behind a Mission Valley grocery store.

Officers responding to a report of an unconscious person found Drevon Butler-Warren on the east side of the Food 4 Less market in the 7700 block of Hazard Center Drive about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Butler-Warren was pronounced dead at the scene, SDPD Lt. Lou Maggi said.

A ruling on the cause of Butler-Warren's death remains on hold pending completion of postmortem examinations.
