Man Shot To Death In Linda Vista Identified
Investigators believe that the suspect, described as a heavy-set man, approached the victim in the park and shot him.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A 40-year-old man who was shot and killed in San Diego's Linda Vista neighborhood has been identified, authorities announced Tuesday.
Officers responded around 12:45 a.m. Monday to reports of shots fired near the Linda Vista Recreation Center at 7064 Levant St., according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said they found Enrique Nunez in the park suffering from at least one gunshot wound, then began lifesaving measures until paramedics with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department arrived.

Nunez was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been confirmed, and no arrests have been made, the department stated.
