  1. The Blue Line of the San Diego Trolley is now serving the University City area. According to Circulate San Diego, zoning law changes that encourage the development of new housing, biotech labs, office space and neighborhood retail need to be put in place to make the area more attractive to workers and businesses. Students who use the trolley have access to a world beyond just the university. The city hopes those educated workers will consider staying in San Diego after graduation. (Times of San Diego)
  2. The San Diego Humane Society emergency room is seeing more cases of dogs who ingested marijuana. Whether the cannabis is eaten at home or in a park around town, the symptoms can be scary. The Humane Society suggests that dogs should be leashed when outside. Owners should keep dogs away from litter that might contain discarded drugs. If your dog eats marijuana and gets sick, call your veterinarian right away, the Pet Poison Hotline (855) 764-7661 ($85 fee) or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (888) 426-4435 (consultation fee may apply). (NBC San Diego)
  3. Planning to buy a car? Cars on the market today may have been flooded by recent storms in San Diego. According to Carfax, more than 51,000 vehicles sustained water damage in January. Those cars will be cleaned and put up for sale, but they may be rotting from the inside out. What is a consumer to do? Check for stains in the headliner and the carpet for water damage. Have an independent mechanic inspect the car before you buy it. Carfax also has a free tool to help you determine if it's a flood vehicle. (NBC San Diego)
