Migrants Try To Board School Buses In San Diego County: Report
For the time being, buses will skip stops with migrants nearby, according to KUSI.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — School bus routes were interrupted this week in San Diego County when migrants tried to board the buses, KUSI reported.
The outlet obtained an email to families from Jamul-Dulzura Union School District Superintendent Liz Bystedt detailing how Tuesday afternoon three men in the middle of Highway 94 tried to stop a bus near Cochera Via. The next morning, another bus encountered roughly 20 people while picking up students in the area, according to KUSI, which noted no injuries were reported.
The district notified U.S. Border Patrol, California Highway Patrol and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, which was investigating, according to KUSI. In the interim, buses will skip stops with migrants nearby, the outlet reported.
