- San Diego County is providing monkeypox🧫vaccinations this week. Appointments can be made at myturn.ca.gov. "As vaccines becomes available, the county will continue its efforts to vaccinate as many of those eligible as possible given the shortage of supply," said Dr. Wilma Wooten, county public health officer. "We will continue to request additional doses from the state. We continue to advise those at high risk to be cautious about their partners and those who have any signs of monkeypox to immediately get checked out by a physician." - Planning to take your pup to Dog🐕Beach in Ocean Beach? Think again! The city has cautioned that people and pets should avoid water contact at the beach due to a sewage spill. - A special needs pup🐶named Hobo fell down a steep canyon on Monday. Luckily, Hobo, who is deaf, was rescued from a 100-feet ravine in Sorrento Valley by the San Diego Humane Society. "It then took five members to cut the dog out of the brush with a saw in order to free him ... before they could get him back up," Thompson said. The rescue took about four hours. - It’s called ‘If you give a child🧒🏽a book…’ and the annual campaign is hosted by ABC 10News. “They're going to be able to shop and find books📖they love and that they connect with and find meaning in and that's going to inspire them to be readers, lifelong readers,” said principal Courtney Ochi of Lemon Grove Academy Elementary. Donations from ABC 10News viewers, employees, Scripps Howard Foundation, and scholastic have made the event possible.
