Motorcyclist Killed In Otay Mesa Crash ID'd

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a young who man was killed this week in a predawn motorcycle crash on an Otay Mesa street.

Jose Ruan Lopez, 20, was headed north on Enrico Fermi Drive shortly after 4:30 a.m. Monday when his Kawasaki Ninja rear-ended a box truck that had stalled in the roadway north of Otay Mesa Road, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office and California Highway Patrol.

Lopez, whose community of residence remained unknown Tuesday, died at the scene, the CHP reported.
