SAN DIEGO, CA — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday during a hit-and-run crash in the Mount Hope community of San Diego, and the alleged driver of the other vehicle was later arrested, authorities said.
A speeding eastbound Ford Fusion reared-ended the 45-year-old biker at about 3 a.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Market Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The car fled the scene and paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he was treated for a brain bleed and a fractured pelvis.

The Fusion was later located unoccupied in National City, police said. Its alleged driver was also located and arrested, authorities added.
