National City Police Officer Injured In Traffic Collision

NATIONAL CITY, CA — A police officer was involved in a traffic collision in National City Thursday, authorities said.
The accident occurred around 5 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of National City Boulevard when a pedestrian allegedly ran in the officer's path, prompting the officer to swerve out of the way into a parked car, an electrical box and a building, according to the National City Police Department.
The officer, whose name was not released, suffered minor injuries.
