  1. The work continues throughout San Diego. Overnight, Caltrans crews will shut down SR- 52, between I-805 and I-5 so that SDGE crews can work on overhead power lines.   2. It is a public education program designed to prevent drowning deaths throughout the County of San Diego. The City of San Diego and San Diego Swim Safer held an event last Saturday at the Bud Kearns public pool in North Park. "Wherever there is water, there is risk," said Nicole McNeil, President of the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego.   3. Young people are leaving the area. They can no longer afford to buy homes in San Marcos. The area is becoming more aged. How will this affect the area in the future?   4. Several burglaries at schools in Alpine, Lakeside, and Santee have occurred in the past few months. Now, Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested an 18-year-old man in connections with the thefts. A warrant was issued to search the young man’s home where a number of computers were found. The perpetrator was booked in San Diego Central on commercial burglary charges.
