Pamo Fire Burns Over 3 Acres, Threatens Structure In Ramona

RAMONA, CA — Crews halted a brush fire that threatened at least one structure Tuesday morning in Ramona.

The blaze, called the Pamo Fire, broke out near Pamo and West Haveford roads, according to Cal Fire San Diego.

Officials initially said the fire burned about 10 acres and threatened a structure before crews stopped forward progress of the flames. After more accurate mapping, Cal Fire said the blaze scorched 3.5 acres.

"Fire crew will remain on scene to strengthen control lines and mitigate any hazards," Cal Fire said on social media.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
