Passenger Ejected From Car, Dies In Suspected DUI Crash
The 24-year-old driver was arrested, the San Diego Police Department said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A 26-year-old woman was killed Monday in a suspected DUI crash on a Core Columbia-area street, authorities reported.
The victim was a passenger riding in a 2003 Toyota that veered out of a northbound lane in the 1200 block of First Avenue at high speed about 3 a.m., struck a guardrail abutment and overturned, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The passenger was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene of the wreck. Her identity was withheld pending family notification.

"The driver exhibited objective symptoms of driving under the influence and was arrested," SDPD Officer Sarah Foster said.
The name of the suspect, a 24-year-old woman, was not immediately available.
