  1. Want to renew your passport? Want to do it💻online? Before the end of the year, the U.S. State Department will open its online passport renewal service to the public. Eligibility requirements are strict. In addition, there are requirements for using the passport once you receive it. Check out the requirements for eligibility.   2. The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is redeveloping its park-and-ride locations throughout the county. To that end, the MTS plans to build a 100-unit affordable🏘️housing project in Rancho Bernardo. The site will be leased to Affirmed Housing, a local developer. Known as The Rancho Bernardo Transit Village, the development would offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The units would be rented to families earning between 30 percent and 60 percent of the local median income. The project is expected to open in 2025.   3. Planning to drive through Mission Valley during the evening this week? If so, you need to be aware that Caltrans crews will begin a full week of nighttime🚧construction in the area beginning on Sunday evening from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Impacted areas include the Interstate 8, State Route 163, and the Interstate 5 connectors in Mission Valley.
