Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle In North County
Police said the victim was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
ESCONDIDO, CA — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle over the weekend in San Diego's North County, police said Monday.
The crash happened at 11:56 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of East Washington Avenue in Escondido, according to the Escondido Police Department. Officers found a pedestrian in the roadway and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
The victim was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, police said. The victim's identity was not released.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and was not arrested or cited.
