Pedestrian Killed In Crash On San Diego Freeway Ramp
The car crashed into a cement barrier, went down an embankment and hit a transformer, which struck the pedestrian, a witness told the CHP.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A pedestrian was killed Sunday evening when a car went off the road on a San Diego freeway off-ramp.
The crash was first reported to the California Highway Patrol at 9:10 p.m. Sunday on the Imperial Avenue off-ramp from the southbound San Diego (5) Freeway near downtown.
The car crashed into a cement barrier, went down an embankment and hit a transformer, which struck the pedestrian, a witness told the CHP. The agency reported the pedestrian died.

It was unclear whether the death occurred at the scene or at a hospital.
Police did not say whether the driver stopped, nor whether there were any arrests were made.
