Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In North County

The 32-year-old Escondido man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

ESCONDIDO, CA — A man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend in San Diego's North County, authorities said.

Police received reports about a man unconscious in the roadway shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday at Rock Springs and Seven Oaks roads in Escondido, according to the Escondido Police Department. Several motorists who found the man performed CPR, police said.

The 32-year-old Escondido man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name was withheld pending family notification.
