Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash, Suspect At Large

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 50-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured in a hit-and-run collision in the neighborhood of Bay Park Friday.
The crash occurred at around 4:20 a.m. Friday, when a northbound vehicle struck a female pedestrian while she was pushing a shopping cart in the No. 2 lane in the 3000 block of Morena Boulevard, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said a passerby saw the woman laying in the street and reported the accident. She was rendered unconscious and had sustained open fractures to both shins. The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The vehicle fled the scene following the collision. There were no witnesses nor description of the vehicle, police said.
