Pedestrian Struck By Truck, Seriously Injured In Bay Ho
The injured pedestrian suffered fractured ribs, a ruptured spleen, a collapsed lung and a fractured pelvis, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A pedestrian pushing a shopping cart suffered life- threatening injuries after being struck by a pickup in the Bay Ho neighborhood, authorities said Monday.
A man in his 50s was pushing the cart northbound in the No. 2 lane of 4200 Morena Boulevard at 5:10 p.m. Sunday and the driver of a white 2025 Ford F- 250 pickup didn't see him and struck him from behind, according to a San Diego Police Department statement.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital where he went into cardiac arrest, police said. Medical personnel performed CPR and he regained a pulse.
