- Living in San Diego is expensive! Many have relocated to less expensive regions, but many more are moving here. Despite the high cost of housing and the state income tax, San Diego is still a popular destination for those relocating. Who are these newcomers? Often, they are young professionals from other areas of California. (Times of San Diego)
- The city created a new shelter for homeless seniors as part of its comprehensive housing strategy. Called the Seniors Landing Bridge Shelter, it will become a prototype for other shelters in the future. This shelter is located at a hotel, leased through June 2023, with two one-year renewal options. The opening of this shelter comes just after the state named San Diego a "Prohousing City." (Patch)
- Still looking for a great gift for a hard-to-please family member or friend? If so, you might consider giving a practical gift that will help keep them safe on the road. According to Consumer Reports, a great gift is an automobile headlight restoration kit. Another idea is to give a gift card for a local car wash. Car first-aid kits are also useful. These and other car-related gifts may just fit the bill! (NBC San Diego)
- Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow — somewhere else! Here in San Diego the temperatures will range from the mid-70s to the low-80s inland. So don’t stay home — take your friends/family to the beach, along with your Christmas tree, and celebrate the holiday outside in this 15 degrees-above-average weather. Surfboards optional. Enjoy San Diego! (FOX 5 San Diego)
