Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Mission Beach: Fire Department
The aircraft had experienced what appeared to be a mechanical issue after departing from Oceanside.

SAN DIEGO — A plane made an emergency landing on Tuesday at Mission Beach.
The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. on the shore of the beach near Liverpool Court, according to San Diego Fire Department Media Manager and Public Information Officer Candace Hadley.
Emergency personnel arrived to find that the male and female who had been traveling in the small Cessna were not hurt, but that their aircraft had experienced what appeared to be a mechanical issue after departing from Oceanside, Hadley said. No one on the beach was injured either.
