  1. SDPD is investigating several instances of 911 calls with false reports. The practice, known as swatting, takes police away from actual crimes being committed in the areas. A false report to police is considered a crime with a misdemeanor or felony a charge. Don’t do it, don’t condone it. Report it to police. If you see something, say something. Their website states: ‘We’re on a mission to connect every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue.’ Now, Mayor Todd Gloria has proclaimed Sunday, May 22, ‘Feeding San Diego Day.’ For 15 years, the nonprofit has provided food assistance throughout San Diego County. Feeding San Diego has distributed over 300 million meals to people facing hunger and food insecurity.
