(Patch Media)

Hello all. It's time to start your day with Patch San Diego.

  1. It stands as an icon at Ocean Beach. The Ocean Beach Pier is now more than six years past its expected life. The Pier has been damaged by king tides and rough weather over the years. The question is: should it be repaired, or should it be replaced? What does the City of San Diego plan to do? To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (NBC San Diego)
  2. It's a $950 million Water Purification Plant in East County, and its construction has already begun. Located in Santee, the plant will purify up to 11.5 million gallons of water per day, providing 30 percent of East County's needed drinking water supply. The project is expected to create 2,500 jobs in the region. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (NBC San Diego)
