- The response was immediate. Most San Diegans elected officials condemned the decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. Protestors took to the streets, marching from San Diego’s Hall of Justice to the Waterfront Park. Supporters rejoiced. - More than $650K in Fentanyl was seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers. Forty-three packages of the drug were found in a driver's gas tank. Special screening machines showed anomalies in the gas tank, and K-9 narcotics detectors located the stash. The driver was taken to the in El Centro Detention Facility. - A heads-up to drivers! On Sunday, 9 pm through Monday 5 a.m., the connector between southbound I-5 and north- and southbound SR-163 will close so that necessary electrical work can be completed. Also, the on-ramp from First Avenue, and the Tenth Avenue off-ramp from southbound I-5 will close. Grape Street and Fifth Avenue on-ramps will be open.
