Here are the top stories today in San Diego:

  1. It will be the most advanced water purification system in the world. City of San Diego leaders met on Nov. 1 to discuss the Pure Water San Diego project. This major infrastructure project will deliver the technology necessary to recycle water from any source and produce drinking water. With construction planned in three phases, the system is expected to become active in 2035. (KUSI)
  2. Caltrans will revamp 33 ramps on the I-5 freeway over a two-month period. Work will occur on Thursday nights through Saturday mornings on various ramps in the county. This week, closures will occur on Thursday through Saturday. Improvements will include new striping and specialized reflectors. “With this upgraded infrastructure, we hope to significantly reduce wrong-way driving incidents,” said Gustavo Dallarda, director of Caltrans District 11 in San Diego. For updated details on days, times, and locations, go to : https://dot.ca.gov. (Times of San Diego)
  3. Car prices here are too high! While a three-year-old car has an average national price of $25,542, in San Diego, the average price is $35,275. Right now, used car prices are through the roof. According to executive analyst Karl Brauer for ISeeCars.com, if you can wait another six months, car prices in San Diego will probably come down. (CBS News 8)
