Rain Advisory Lifted For SD County Coastal Waters

A general rain advisory has been lifted for all coastal waters in San Diego County, health officials announced Saturday.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A general rain advisory has been lifted for all coastal waters in San Diego County, health officials announced Saturday.

The county Department of Environmental Health and Quality on Friday had issued a rain advisory in connection with recent rainfall. Urban runoff can increase bacteria levels in ocean and bay waters and could cause illness.

Health officials also on Saturday lifted the closure for Encina Creek in Carlsbad, Silver Strand and Coronado Shoreline. Recent water quality samples met state health standards, officials said.
