1. Mayor Todd Gloria will not reduce funding for three rapid rehousing programs which help the homeless here in the City of San Diego. Options for continuing the program are being discussed. The City wants to start overseeing contracts formerly managed by the Housing Commission. Meanwhile, the homeless need assistance to find housing. 2. Feeling shut of the housing market? Well, now there is good news! More properties are coming onto the market, and prices are coming down. Median price for a home in San Diego County was $805K in March. Homes now need to be “right priced” to sell. While the market has cooled, the average 30-year fixed mortgage is now at 5.27 percent. Thankfully, our Project Wildlife team was able to free the poor critter from the trap, and the snake was released by the same officer who first rescued them in a safer location!
