- Mayor Todd Gloria will not reduce funding for three rapid rehousing programs which help the homeless here in the City of San Diego. Options for continuing the program are being discussed. The City wants to start overseeing contracts formerly managed by the Housing Commission. Meanwhile, the homeless need assistance to find housing. - Feeling shut of the housing market? Well, now there is good news! More properties are coming onto the market, and prices are coming down. Median price for a home in San Diego County was $805K in March. Homes now need to be “right priced” to sell. While the market has cooled, the average 30-year fixed mortgage is now at 5.27 percent. - San Diego Humane Society: "Our Humane Officers were recently called to help a young rattlesnake who was caught in a glue trap. Thankfully, our Project Wildlife team was able to free the poor critter from the trap, and the snake was released by the same officer who first rescued them in a safer location! Though this snake had a second chance, not all animals who get caught in glue traps are so fortunate — and we urge our community to consider humane alternatives and deterrents." (Facebook)
