San Diego Coronavirus: 140 New Cases, 6 Deaths

A total of 7,240 cases have been reported in San Diego County to date.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A total of 7,240 people have tested positive for the new coronavirus in San Diego County as of Friday, and 266 people have died.

In a release Friday, the county reported the number of new cases climbed by 140 diagnoses as of Friday, and six additional deaths had been reported.

According to the release, the 14-day rolling percentage is at 3.1 percent, which meets one of the metrics the county monitors.

In the county, 1,296, or 17.9 percent, of cases have required hospitalization. Of those, 29.2 percent have been admitted to the ICU.
