Mother Nature Was No Match For True Love On Valentine's Day

The county issued at least 119 marriage licenses and conducted 82 weddings Tuesday, Feb. 14, in spite of blustery weather.

SAN DIEGO — Even Mother Nature couldn't defeat true love in San Diego County on Valentine's Day when more than 80 couples lined up to say “I do” at weddings across the county amid the rain and wind that plagued the area that day.

"Marriage ceremonies were held at all four of the County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk’s offices," a news release issued by the San Diego County News Center, said.

Reservations were required for the ceremonies with the exception of those at the County Administration Center where couples could walk-in for an impromptu wedding ceremony.
