San Diego County Holiday Closures: Nature Centers, Public Offices
Here are the county-run facilities and services that will be closed on Christmas Day.
SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego County is reminding residents of what will be closed on Christmas Day this Wednesday.
While essential services, such as law enforcement and emergency animal control will remain operational throughout the holiday, government offices, family resource centers, library branches, and animal shelters will be closed on Christmas Day. Additionally, county public health clinics will be closed. All county offices will resume regular hours on Thursday.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that county parks campgrounds and neighborhood day-use parks will also stay open. Camping reservations can still be made online at reservations.sdparks.org, though the Parks and Recreation reservation phone line will not be available on the holiday.

Curbside trash, recyclables and organic waste will not be collected on Christmas Day. The Miramar Landfill, Greenery Recycling Center and Mattress Collection Site will be also be closed.
Parking will also not be enforced at meters, yellow zones or along street-sweeping routes. But red zones, white zones and blue zones will still be enforced.

The San Diego Superior Court also noted that the court will operate with reduced staffing levels due to a voluntary work furlough program offered to court employees. The court's offices are expected to have longer-than-usual wait times and other court services may be limited, officials said.
