SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Humane Society is expanding its weekend adoption hours just in time for the busy summer season.

Starting Saturday, all San Diego Humane Society campuses will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 25. By extending its weekend adoption hours, the organization hopes to help more animals find forever homes.

"This is the second summer in a row we've expanded our hours, and we've seen firsthand the impact it can have," said Dr. Gary Weitzman, president and CEO of San Diego Humane Society. "Last year, we found homes for more than 600 animals during the extended weekend hours. This year, we're aiming even higher."
