1. Fantastic news! The Port of San Diego is expecting a very busy cruise🚢season. “The Port of San Diego’s cruise business is definitely experiencing a rebound, and we expect continued growth,” Port of San Diego Chairman Dan Malcolm said. “We’re pleased to be welcoming our cruise customers back to San Diego and to share how wonderful our port is to our cruise passengers. This season’s business will be a great boost to our regional economy.” Windstar Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Silversea Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, and other lines are on the port calendar. 2. It’s still here. Though we are sick and tired of it, the COVID-19🦠virus is still affecting many San Diegans. Another 1,036 new cases were reported on Monday, with five deaths. In total there have been more than 917,000 coronavirus cases and 5,479 deaths since the crisis began. New COVID-19 boosters, targeting several strains, are now available in San Diego County. 3. Good news! The Rancho🍺BEERnardo Festival fundraiser will return to Webb Park on Oct. 22. The event will feature music, 2-ounce pours, local wines, and food for purchase. Free parking. Funds🪙💵raised through Rancho BEERnardo allow the Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club to make an impact locally and around the world. Tickets are now on sale!
