  1. Cities, villages, and areas around town are holding July 4 events. There are concerts, parades, festivals, etc. around San Diego for you to enjoy. Whether you live in Carlsbad, Escondido, Ramona, Rancho Bernardo, La Jolla, Del Mar, University City, National City, Ocean Beach, Chula Vista, El Cajon, or places in between, you can find an event located near you.   2. Waters at La Jolla Cove are now safe for swimming. The Cove no longer exceeds bacterial standards. That’s the word from San Diego’s Department of Environmental Health and Quality.   3. Want a free full tank of gasoline? San Diego Honda dealerships are offering free gas to the first 100 servicemembers, veterans, and Honda drivers who visit an undisclosed location in Poway. The offer will be valid from 10 a.m. – Noon. For the location, visit San Diego Honda Dealers' Facebook Page as they release the exact location. First come, first served.
