- Many San Diegans are hurting. The high cost of gas and groceries has resulted in many more residents experiencing food insecurity. According to 'Feeding San Diego,' there has been a 20% increase in participation at drive through distribution events. Volunteers make up the majority of staff at the events. Feeding San Diego purchases food with donations but mainly rescues food that would otherwise go to waste at grocery stores, farms, Amazon, and distributors. - At this time of year, San Diego moms are researching summer camps for their kids. Now moms can check out these camps that cost $250 or less.
