  1. It is a snapshot called the ‘point-in-time’ count that is done every other year. It reveals how many homeless people are counted on a particular date in time. It has shown that the number of homeless in San Diego has increased 10% since 2020. However, experts agree that this number only reflects a minimum count. According to the regional task force, there are an estimated 8,427 homeless people, but it is estimated that the actual number is about 21K. However, there is some good news. 2. It’s a grand opening event happening on June 4! Come to the New Women’s Museum of California at its Southeast San Diego Center. See artwork from local artists and enjoy hands-on experiences. This is certain to be a fun event! Admission is free. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (There San Diego)
  3. If you are familiar with playwright Christopher Durang, you know to expect the outlandish from his plays. Durang has an unusual way of pushing the buttons of societal sore points, such as religion, politics, dysfunctional families, and so forth. In his comedy 'Turning Off The Morning News' now at the OnStage Playhouse, he mirrors the collective madness we function in each day. Crazy? Maybe, but some find it hilarious!
