Here are the top stories today in San Diego:

1. San Diego County is close to a ‘high’ tier designation for COVID-19. This ranking would trigger indoor masking. “We can’t speculate on whether San Diego County will turn red, although you can see by the CDC’s map that most of California is now red,” said County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency spokesperson Sarah Sweeney.
