- Looking for a moderately-priced apartment to rent in San Diego? There may be no such thing. In April the median cost of a two-bedroom apartment in San Diego rose to $2,520. - If you, or someone you know, need legal defense in deportation proceedings, you may qualify for legal assistance under San Diego County’s Immigrant Rights Legal Defense Program. Your name, date of birth, detention A#, expected immigrant defense issue (i.e. asylum, criminal conviction removal, suspension of deportation, etc.) are needed to get assistance. San Diego County's Immigrant Rights Legal Defense Program is available only for those who are in custody at an immigration detention center, or in an alternative detention programs. - The Walker family opened their hearts and their home to accept a family from Ukraine. Nataly Dubovyk escaped Kyiv along with her five-year old child. The Walkers took them. “Hal and I are making a difference to someone else who can’t do for themselves right now financially and logistically, and they’re basically on an island without a boat to get off,” Robin Walker said. Families who want to offer shelter for refuges should go to the website: UkraineTakeShelter.com. “We’re blessed to have this family in our home.
