  1. Lincoln High School was put into lockdown. San Diego Police Department confirmed that a 16-year-old student at Lincoln High School was shot by a beanbag round when he reached for a firearm in his waistband. The student was taken into custody. 2. They were the original alarm clock. They crowed the start of the day. Today, they are considered to be a nuisance. If you are bothered by your neighbor's illegal rooster, it may take some time before law enforcement springs into action. For those willing to give up their roosters, there are organizations, such as Rescue Roos, which will take care of them for you. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. 3. They are sending messages of love and hope to children and their families fleeing Ukraine. Kids for Peace, a local nonprofit, is recording messages of support. “Never give up. America loves you and wishes you luck,” said a California child. Kids for Peace has raised $6,000 for refugee families who fled Ukraine and are now in Poland. “Those families literally arrived with just bags, they don't have resources for meeting their fundamental needs,” said Asia Moore, Kids for Peace program director. You can help too. Record a short, 5-second (or less) video message expressing support and compassion for the youth of Ukraine.
