Here are four the top stories in San Diego today:
- Voice your views about the SDG&E 2024 rate increase request. Customers will get that chance before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) makes its decision on whether to grant such an increase. SDG&E said it wants to increase rates to invest in alternative technologies. Click here to find out about public forums on SDGE’s general rate case. (FOX 5 San Diego)
- If you live in the City of El Cajon, you may wish to provide your input regarding the future of Parkway Plaza. Do you think Parkway Plaza should provide additional shopping options, more events or other amenities? Do you think the property should be converted to affordable housing? If so, would you consider living there? These and other questions will assist the city in determining how the property should be used in the future. Take the survey and be heard! (ABC 10 News San Diego KGTV)
- Want a tiny home for your backyard? Now, you can tour tiny houses, see van conversions, backyard cottages (ADUs), shipping container homes and more. Meet with the builders and the people who live tiny, at the TinyFest, Saturday and Sunday, March 11 – 12, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Enjoy live music, food trucks, entertainment and shop the Simple Living marketplace. Find out more at TinyFest. (Patch)
- A flash mob of middle-aged women surprised San Diegans this week as they hit the streets to celebrate Women’s History Month.
