  1. Enough is enough! The sea lions are fighting back. "The sea lions were sleeping and were just massive on the beach and I was just watching them, and this woman got really close to them, like 4 feet away, and was trying to take a photo of it up close, and it just woke up and started chasing everybody," said visitor Charlene Yeyna. Residents and visitors need to respect the sea lions on the beach. It is their natural habitat. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (NBC San Diego)
  2. They call it a ‘legal limbo.’ Ever since the right to abortion was overturned, Arizona still does not have legal clarity on abortion rights. “People are outraged by this!" said Brittany Fonteno, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Arizona. "The human need for abortion doesn’t go away just because it is criminalized. They will find a way to get the health care they need even if they have to flee their communities, even if that means fleeing hundreds or thousands of miles or taking it into their own hands," said Fonteno. According to Jodi Hicks, CEO and president of Planned Parenthood's affiliates of California, there has been an 800 percent influx of patients coming into San Diego mostly from Arizona. 3. The bad news is: 60 million Americans suffer from chronic migraines and headaches, according to the American Academy of Neurology. The good news is: UCSD Health has opened a new headache treatment and research center. "Ten percent of primary care visits are focused on headache and migraine, and many of these individuals require specialized care in order to improve their symptoms," said Dr. Nina Riggins, neurologist and headache specialist at UCSD Health, and director of the new center. "In partnership with primary care, women's health, interventional radiology, neurosurgery, spine and pain specialists, and others, we will treat individuals dealing with serious, debilitating headache disease, with a targeted therapeutic approach." The Headache Center is located at 4910 Directors Place, Suite 250, San Diego. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (Patch)
